One of our recent projects took us to Beren in Croyde, a charming holiday property where the owner wanted to cut energy costs while staying true to the cottage-style aesthetics of our North Devon area.  

A Cottage Look with Modern Benefits  

To meet the brief, we installed Residence 7 flush casement windows, which perfectly combine a traditional cottage feel with cutting-edge technology. These A-rated energy-efficient windows feature argon-filled double-glazed units, designed to trap warmth and reduce energy bills. The flush casement style not only looks authentic but also keeps the home in line with the surrounding properties, blending beautifully into Croyde’s character-filled landscape.  

A Front Door with Personality  

The entrance to Beren now stands out in the best way, thanks to a peacock blue Solidor composite front door framed in chattel green (a colour combination personally chosen by the homeowner). This striking door also boasts exceptional insulation and durability. To complete the look, the customer selected traditional cottage furniture, including a classic handle and letterbox, maintaining the rustic charm of the property.  

Bright and Functional Patio Access  

For seamless indoor-outdoor living, we added a uPVC sliding patio door in a white grain finish to match the Residence 7 windows. Like the rest of the installation, this patio door is A-rated for energy efficiency, helping to keep the home warm in winter while still letting in plenty of natural light year-round.
